About The Author (And The Story)
The Story Origins: Abridged
This first iteration of this story saw pen to paper in late 2004. But, in the fall of 2006, the narrative took a major turn, and in the past 20 years has expanded to five books, a thousand-plus chapters, and millions of words written — all crafted to tell a story born from dreams, experiences, and imagination.
While some teaser excerpts had previously been published as early as 2010, it wasn't until 2018 when it was decided to move forward as a free-to-read online serial, one that has grown to the dedicated webpage you see today.
The Author
Robin Rees could be described as the physical manifestation of the curse of living in “interesting times” on a personal scale, while ever-cognizant of the charms of life that have brought her this far. An experienced woman, now entering the third act of her life, she was composing award-winning stories and poetry well before she even knew she wished for her purpose to be writing. Her path to this moment is paved with stones of adversity and blessings. She has been no stranger to dumpster diving, couch surfing, and working three jobs at once; nor is she unfamiliar with the joys of gardening, crafting, a big cozy bed, or having the privilege of knowing some of the most amazing people one could imagine.
Robin’s worldview has been shaped through experience and education. Her educational background includes a dual-university study of Interdisciplinary Anthropology with a focus on Cultural Anthropology and Evolutionary Biology; and Geography with a focus on GIS, Mapping, and Remote Sensing. In addition, she has a minor in Philosophy (Science and Religion) and a certificate in Canadian Studies. Further, she has tertiary training in graphic and digital arts.
You can find Robin now living a much more subdued continuance from her past (for now), as she endeavors to make the third act of her life a magnum opus culmination of her memories, mind, and matter.
